Fans of The Big Bang Theory still miss the hilarious and lovable Penny, played by Kaley Cuoco. While many hoped for a spin-off or reunion, Kaley has now confirmed there’s no return in sight — and she’s finally explained why.
Kaley Cuoco has said that while she’s forever grateful for her time on the show, she believes the series ended at the perfect moment. The decision to end The Big Bang Theory came after Jim Parsons (Sheldon) chose to move on, and Cuoco agrees that continuing without the full original cast wouldn’t have felt right. She’s also been busy with new projects like The Flight Attendant and other film roles, which have given her fresh opportunities to grow as an actress. “I don’t want to mess with the legacy we created,” she said. “It was lightning in a bottle, and it should stay just like that.”
